Drive sanitization — per drive
FileX Drive Purge is bought in packs of drives rather than seats. An ITAD running four workstations through five hundred drives derives value from the drives, and per-seat pricing would charge them almost nothing for the most use.

How licensing works
This is a change from earlier versions, where erasing was free and only the certificate was charged for. We are saying so rather than quietly altering the terms: if you hold an older licence, write to us and we will honour it.
Pricing questions
Why does the software need to activate over the network?
Because a licence has to be checked somewhere, and a wipe that runs entirely offline cannot be metered. Activation happens once; after that the software runs offline indefinitely. Only the licence key and a machine fingerprint are sent — never file names, never file contents.
Our erasure suite runs on an isolated network. Can we still use this?
Yes. Air-gapped sites activate offline: the app produces a request file, you exchange it through the console on any connected machine, and you import the response. ITAD floors and data-centre decommissioning are routinely network-restricted, which is precisely why this path exists rather than being an afterthought.
What counts as an endpoint?
One machine running one of the file erasers. Licences are not tied to a named person, so a shared workstation is one endpoint however many people use it.
Do certificates cost extra?
No. Every licensed endpoint issues unlimited counter-signed certificates, and the public verifier is free for everyone forever — including the auditor you hand one to, who needs no account and no software of ours.
What happens when a licence expires?
The software stops erasing. Certificates you have already been issued stay valid and keep verifying: they were signed and published, and that cannot be unsaid.
